WOM BBQ Chicken Fundraiser. Our 33rd Annual Barbecue Chicken Benefit will be Friday, April 14, the Friday after Easter. Plates include ½ chicken, sauce, seasoned green beans, potato salad, rolls, & dessert. Dine-in plates; will include tea or lemonade. Plates are $10.00 each. Our proceeds will be placed in our Benevolent Fund for situations that arise throughout the year where families might need a helping hand or to show an act of kindness to someone who may be suffering from illness or loss of a family member. Our goal this year is 500 plates. We will not distribute tickets. Once 500 plates are gone, we will close down. This year’s event will be dine-in and take-out. There are flyers for you to pick up to take to your place of business/school/hair salon, etc. for advertising or to use to invite friends and family. There are also sheets for you to take to try and get orders for delivery at lunch that day. To make this a successful event, we need your help! There are sign up sheets in the lobby for sponsors, cooks, large grills, someone to put out the banners, people to deliver plates, folks to fill the trays, cakes, set up, clean up, and hospitality. If you can help in any way, please write your information down so we know we have these areas covered. We will not be having a meeting this year.
