Vision

The vision of The Ark Child Care is to impact Eastern Johnston County through ministry to children ages 6 weeks to 13 years of age with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in a manner that will both glorify God and transform our communities for generations to come.


Purpose

The Ark is a non-profit ministry providing a childcare program of the highest quality designed to meet the needs of working parents. Our center will guide each child to develop their potential in every aspect of life while sheltering and nurturing relationships of Christian love. We are committed to helping each child grow spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.


Curriculum

The Ark Childcare utilizes the ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum, a toddler and preschool curriculum that combines academics, Bible truths, and child development. Our curriculum is based on the knowledge that children learn best through their first-hand sensory experiences of feeling, listening, tasting, smelling, and observing. Your child will be offered a variety of activities to enhance his or her spiritual and developmental needs. 

Programs

Mon-Fri: 6:30 am - 6:00 pm

  • Full-Time Care:

    Age: Six weeks to 5 years old

    • Our program groups children into classrooms according to age and Preschool graduation date. 
    • Students move through our classrooms together, creating long-term friendships, consistency, and a sense of safety.


  • School Age Programs:

    Age: 5-15 years old

    • School Year Transportation: We provide before and after-school transportation to the following schools.
    • ALA Elementary, Four Oaks Elementary and Middle School, Lifespring Academy, Neuse Charter, and Wilson’s Mills Elementary.

  • Summer Camp:

    • Our summer camp program provides full-time care filled with activities, field trips, and mission projects.
    Teacher Workdays and Breaks:
    • Full-time care is provided on teacher workdays and some holidays.
